Jaguars

The jaguar is one of the four big cats. The jaguar is the third-largest feline after the tiger and the lion, and the largest in the Western Hemisphere. It can be found from Mexico across much of Central America and south to Paraguay and Argentina. The cat may seem to look like the leopard, but it is usually larger and of sturdier build. Its behaviour and habitat are more close to those of the tiger. The jaguar will range from a variety of forests to open terrain and it also likes to swim like the tiger. The jaguar has a very powerful bite, even relative to the bigger cats. This helps it pierce the shells of armoured animals. So be careful!
